Station BB28 Data
Biscayne Bay is located off the Southeast coast of Florida. It is enclosed by the Florida coastline on the western side and Miami Beach, Key Biscayne, the Safety Valve (sand flats separated by tidal flow channels), and the northern most islands of the Florida Keys on the eastern side.
The Key Biscayne Citizen Science Project is currently sponsoring two testing sites off the Bay-side (western) coast of Key Biscayne: BB32 (west of Mashta Flats), and BB28 (west of Bear Cut Bridge).
Station BB28: This site is being monitored by the Miami Rowing Club beginning in March 2017 and is located just west of Bear Cut Bridge. The water depth in this area is approximately 14-15 feet.
